Chalo, now, the trivialities are behind us. The best thing about the Supreme Court judgment on Ayodhya is that the contesting parties are content with the verdict. The bigger question is whether India needs one more temple or are there more pressing needs at home? Aren’t there already millions of temples and deities in India?
American presidents often said MAGA (Make America Great again), during their campaign.
It’s now time to work towards MIGA (Make India Great Again).
Building Ram temple isn’t enough, Ram rajya is to be built.
Hope, a court gives such a verdict and a government implements it.
Let me end with a Hindu proverb that is universally applicable:
“There are hundreds of paths up the mountain, all leading in the same direction, so it doesn’t matter which path you take. The only one wasting time is the one who runs around and around the mountain, telling everyone that his or her path is wrong.”
Simply put, if anyone has a differing opinion than what is stated above, means, he or she is still at the bottom of a mountain and is yet to reach the top! And, the fact that the Ayodhya verdict was received without much excitement nor backlash indicates that most Indians are either on the right path or are already together on top!!
One of the best things that the spiritual leaders, across all religions can now do is to construct a “sarva dharma sthala” that will truly epitomise the true spirit of “vasudaiva kutumbakam” and acceptance of all religions. In this, the Hindus must take a lead and invite the people from other religions to be a part of such thinking.
Such a step would go down as more historic than the one taken by the Supreme Court.
We need a Ram Rajya and not just a Ram Temple!
